Ralph McTell and Dave Pegg have been friends for more than fifty years.
They have played on each other’s albums, performed at each other’s concerts and have shared family life’s ups and downs.
This is the first time that they will play as a duo.
Join them for an evening of songs and stories from a lifetime on the road.
From an early age, Ralph began his career by hitch-hiking around Europe with his guitar, emulating his hero Woody Guthrie. In the mid 60s he worked at a Cornish campsite, being maintenance man by day, entertainer by night, where he graced the stage at the 'Folk Cottage', a tiny barn in Cornwall that hosted an impromptu club, before eventually settling on the 'streets of London'. During this period, Nick Drake's last public performance was supporting Ralph at Epsom college. It was in 1969 that Ralph came to widespread attention though, thanks to an appearance at the Cambridge Folk Festival where all the audience sang along to the now classic anthem 'Streets Of London', thus launching a long term career penning and performing beautiful acoustic and folk politically conscious songs.
