I’m not top of the class, Sir
but, you know I am not last, Sir.
I’m twenty-eighth out of twenty-nine
and you’re not here to undermine,
so, cast my ignorance asunder
so I no longer have to wonder –
do do do do do do do do do do horses have teeth, Sir?
On top and underneath, Sir?
In you, I have belief Sir.
Do horses have teeth?
A show about teachers, learners, curiosity and fitting in even if you came twenty-ninth out of twenty-nine in the class test papers. With songs and drawings of cats, anteaters, hamsters, biscuits and of course, horses. Some audience participation – and some of it emotional.
“Awesomely mundane.”
The Independent
Devised for adults, but not unsuitable for the odd nine-year-old.
Poet, comic, singer, songwriter and glasses-wearer. John Hegley captivates audiences with travel tales and amusing anecdotes, blurring the line between profound description and fine comedy. A consistent favourite at the Edinburgh Festival and with over half a dozen bestselling books under his belt, he is not to be missed. 'Awesomely mundane... Comedy's Poet Laureate' (The Independent) 'Scandalously talented' (Sunday Times) 'Bl**ding marvellous' (NME) 'Marvellous, joyful fun' (The Daily Telegraph) 'An incurable entertainer' (The Guardian).
