About the show
Join Bristol’s own polyphonic, kaleidoscopic, and ever-so-slightly-chaotic Fantasy Orchestra as they celebrate the songwriting genius of Kate Bush and other iconic female singer-songwriters.
The night will include hits and deep cuts from the incomparable Kate Bush catalogue alongside songs by other trailblazers such as Joni Mitchell, Björk, PJ Harvey and more, all expanded in unique arrangements for a 50+ strong orchestra and choir!
Featuring
The Fantasy Orchestra
Bristol and Paris based orchestra playing classic covers including Ennio Morricone and Jimi Hendrix and conducted by a giant Grasshopper! Led by Jesse D Vernon who had the idea to create an orchestra open to all. His motto is “more is more” and this applies to their breath of repertoire as well as the number of participants & instruments.
"Bristol Fantasy Orchestra and choir are completely bonkers, amazingly talented musicians that had the most eclectic repertoire I’ve ever heard! It included the theme tune from Star Trek, John Lennon’s Imagine, two songs from the movie The Wicker Man, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and an Indian song from a Bollywood movie!" - Keynsham Music Festival
