Riff Raff Choir Summer Concert (Southville and Fishponds Groups)
Riff Raff Choir Summer Concert (Southville and Fishponds Groups) at Christ Church Downend, Bristol
About the show
The Southville and Fishponds Riff Raff groups will be combining in a summer performance at one of our favourite venues: Christ Church Downend, Bristol.
With a combination of fun, energetic and more gentle, heartfelt pop and rock songs, Bristol’s colourful a cappella choir, Riff Raff, would love you to hear the songs they’ve been working on for the last few months.
Riff Raff Choir sings original song arrangements of everything from 70s chart busters to modern rock ballads to indie folk songs, in four or five part harmony. The Southville and Fishponds Riff Raff groups will be conducted by Elaine Wilson and Kieran Buckeridge.
Supporting Riff Raff, will be Gavin Osborn. A West Country-based humorous but heart-felt singer-songwriter. His minutely detailed, bittersweet story-songs have brilliant comic timing that makes them both funny and touching. He has performed shows with Daniel Kitson and supported Belle and Sebastian.
At the end of the concert, we will be collecting for SWEDA, a charity which supports people with eating disorders across the South West.
Featuring - Riff Raff Choir

Riff Raff is an amateur, a cappella, pop and rock choir that has grown in popularity since its birth in 2010, soaring from 50 original members to over 300 men and women who enjoy being part of it today.
Gavin Osborn

Humourous but heart-felt singer-songwriter, originally from Bedford but has resided in the Bristol/Bath area for several years. He's performed shows with comedian Daniel Kitson and supported Belle & Sebastian.
"Gavin Osborn writes minutely detailed, bittersweet story-songs on an acoustic guitar and sings them with a comic timing usually absent from the works of his anti-folk contemporaries. Funny and touching, Osborn walks a similar tightrope to Loudon Wainwright III" - Stewart Lee (comedian), The Sunday Times.
