Amadou & Mariam were a duo from Mali who had success in their homeland from the late eighties, and went on to find recognition elsewhere across the world.

Married for more than 25 years, Amadou & Mariam met in the orchestra of The Institute For The Young Blind in Bamako. Since then, their magical fusion of pop, blues and Malian music won them fans and stellar collaborators around the world.

Following the death of Amadou Bagayoko in April 2025, Mariam continues the extraordinary musical journey that she and Amadou built together over more than four decades.

One half of one of Africa’s most beloved musical partnerships, Mariam brings the songs that introduced Amadou & Mariam to audiences around the world, blending Malian traditions with infectious rhythms, warmth and optimism.
