Songs of Love & Hate - A Leonard Cohen Celebration
Songs of Love & Hate - A Leonard Cohen Celebration at The Folklore Rooms, Brighton
About the show
November 2026 marks 10 years since the passing of Leonard Cohen, one of the greatest songwriters and poets of the twentieth century.
Join Irish singer-songwriter Pierce Joyce at The Folklore Rooms, Brighton, for a special evening celebrating Cohen's extraordinary body of work. The first half of the concert will feature a performance of his seminal 1971 album Songs of Love and Hate in its entirety, followed by a second set of beloved classics and lesser-known gems, with special guest songwriters joining Joyce to pay tribute to one of music's most distinctive voices.
Featuring - Pierce Joyce
Hailing from the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains in Carlow, Ireland, Pierce Joyce delivers music that is at once introspective, wryly humorous, and quietly powerful. His songs explore vulnerability, self-doubt, and fleeting moments of joy, blending the intimacy of early Leonard Cohen and Blaze Foley with themes reminiscent of fellow Irish writers W.B. Yeats and James Joyce.
