About the show
Keiron Phelan and Peace Signs return to TFR with their '70s tinged baroque chamber pop. Black sheep philosophers, time travelling step-daughters, sixth form poetry, '70s pornography, swiss army knives, imaginary friends, new best friends, long dead friends and more. Shades of Kevin Ayers and Scott Walker, a whisper of John Cale, a suggestion of Marc and a soupcon of Harley, with Neil Hannon leading the protest march.
"A brightly lit soundworld, capricious magic and some subtly warped reality." MOJO
Golden Samphire Band are a newly formed acoustic / song-based trio featuring singer Hannah Lewis and brothers Mik and Rich Hanscomb (of Junkboy), influenced by maritime suburbia, coastal mysticism and the Sussex landscape. Expect psychogeographically-informed psych-folk Pocket Symphonies. Their debut album, Dream is the Driver, is due for release April 2026, on Wayside & Woodland Recordings.
The Sonny Crowe Band make their TFR debut with 17 year young singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Crowe, bringing his emergent talent to trip hop informed jazz and blues tinged folk. Tapping into prime John Martyn, Rain Dogs Tom Waits, mid-period Joni, Massive Attack and the rhythmic physicality of Weymouth/Franz Talking Heads in a unique stylistic synthesis.
