Alastair Gordon, Sekinue

Since first performing original material on the Berlin open mic scene in his late teens, Alastair's voice has been shaped into a rich baritone through years of busking and a creative approach to guitar and harmonica have been shaped by adventurous listening habits. The clearest influences include Nick Drake, Charlie Parr and Joni Mitchell. Narrative and character-driven lyrics often tackle unconventional subject matter and reflect a life split between South Yorkshire and North Saxony.

Sekinue (aka Fior Anderson) is a multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter who found connection with the harp just four years ago. As well as playing with local folktronica band Greenness, they have been steadily building up a following on the London and Brighton scene since 2019.

Captivating audiences by combining their immersive harp dream-scapes with raw, dark lyricism; drawing from the intensity of Elliott Smith and the melodic charm of Belle and Sebastian. Sekinue creates songs that invite us to sit with our vulnerabilities, forming experiences that are as haunting as they are beautiful.
