About the show
Julian Stringle is a world class player of the clarinet.
Voted Best Clarinettist in the 2019 British Jazz Awards. Julian is also brilliant on alto and tenor saxes. He played sax with Meatloaf at Wembley Stadium and with Tina Turner in Monaco. He is a fine singer, too.
Over the years Julian has played and recorded with many of the world’s top musicians. He has composed film music and arranged scores for big bands including a big band in Paris which he conducted to record with Charles Aznavour. Julian’s passion for music covers many styles - Gershwin, Bechet, Rodgers and Hart, Bernstein, songs from Hollywood movies and Broadway shows, Jobim, Delius, Rimsky Korsakov and a great many more.
Featuring - Julian Stringle
An established traditional/mainstream exponent of the clarinet, as well as a composer, who has worked with some of the finest bands and players around. Expect a funky jazz sound, with an occasional Latin flavour and some new material as well.
