About the show

Jazz Samba! Celebrate the irresistible rhythms of Latin jazz and bossa nova, featuring music from Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd’s landmark 1962 album Jazz Samba.

Led by lyrical saxophonist Mark Crooks, a regular with the John Wilson Orchestra at the BBC Proms, the quintet brings together award-winning guitarist Nigel Price, acclaimed double bassist Marianne Windham, versatile percussionist Demi Garcia Sabat and pianist John Cervantes. Expect sun-drenched melodies, infectious rhythms and swinging jazz from a stellar line-up of musicians.
