Solitary first hit the UK thrash scene with early releases like ‘98s Nothing Changes album and in 2008, delivered an album to challenge the genre’s best, with Requiem receiving great reviews from the major metal press, like Kerrang and Rock Sound. The next few years were spent playing live at every opportunity and having played so many great shows, the band decided to celebrate their 20th anniversary, in 2014, with the release of a live album - I Promise To Thrash Forever. 2017 kicked off with the release of a brand new album, The Diseased Heart Of Society. With the help of producer Simon Efemey Solitary created the heaviest and most intense album of their career. Praise poured in from the press and the band appeared at Hammerfest, supported Acid Reign and played headline shows across the UK and in Europe. Heading into 2018 there was no let up for Solitary, signing with Doc Records for the release of a special 20th Anniversary edition of their debut, Nothing Changes, which Metal Forces branded a ‘cult classic’. 2019 marked 25 years of die hard metal for Solitary and to celebrate the band gave a triumphant performance at the UK’s premiere all metal festival – Bloodstock Open Air - and released a limited edition EP. XXV featured three re-recorded classics and two live tracks captured at a London show with Darkane. Now work is already underway on their brand new album, once again with producer Simon Efemey. The promise to thrash forever still holds true.
