About the show
On the first Friday of the month, Jonnie Melancholy and the Sad Cowboys bring their infectious brand of country classics to the bar.
Expect everything from Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash to Woody Guthrie, the Carter Family, Elizabeth Cotten and John Prine — weepy ballads, toe-tapping bluegrass, and enough old-time standards to see you comfortably into the weekend.
Turn up. Join in if you fancy. Or just settle into a corner with a drink and let these folks do what they do best.
Either way, it's a proper way to close out the working week.
