About the show
With driving acoustic guitar, blistering fiddle solos and sublime vocal harmonies, a Band named Brian delivers hard-hitting yet relatable songs. Think Billy Bragg meets the Levellers, with a hint of Johnny Cash and a side order of Beans on Toast!
Cycling from venue to venue, they bring tales of protest, love and redemption with raw energy and a glint in the eye. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll sing... you may just dance!

Featuring
A Band Named Brian
No stranger to the UK folk and acoustic scenes, Brian has performed alongside such luminaries as Bill Jones, Maclaine Colston, Henry Sears and Jenny Crook, meanwhile carving a niche for himself as a quirky, forthright and memorable songsmith. Brian's performance style is direct, open and engaging, in a way that one might associate with the likes of Johnny Cash, Tom Robinson or Billy Bragg. His music draws on a broad pallet of styles and tastes, reflecting his other incarnation as composer for theatre, film and advertising. Onstage, Brian speaks from the heart and lays himself bare before his audience. Together you'll journey through tales of psychosis, love, loss and celebration. There's a weight of integrity about Brian's delivery that never falls into self-agrandisement. "In the end..." says Brian, "it's just songs"
