English/Colombian singer-songwriter Vanessa Forero began composing since childhood. She has mostly worked as a film/TV composer/producer but since Brit-award artist Beth Orton selected her for her writers residency and UK show, Forero decided to become her own artist.
Forero is a multi-instrumentalist who writes, records, and produces all the records herself. Then performing her material around the world, from the back of Colombian bars to Abbey Road's Studio-One, with several plays on BBC radio, Sofar Sounds, Sky+ and RCN, with a UK, Colombia and N.American tour and over a million plays on Spotify.
She's also a best-selling co-author of: 'The Girl With No Name', telling of her mothers life as a feral child in the Colombian jungle, which turned National Geographic documentary: “Woman Raised By Monkeys”, for which Forero scored the music.
She currently lives up a jungle mountain in Colombia, where she built her own home and studio. From there she scores movies as well as making records, collaborating recently with renowned producers Richard Blair & Christian Castagno.
