Digesting her surroundings and life experience, Kat Abel writes from a place of sincerity and relatability, singing about love, loss and friendship. She writes with positivity, but also a shadow of honesty, giving an upbeat, reflective look of life.

Her vocals have a powerful, classic soul sound with a hint of R&B and Jazz. Growing up with influence from Beyonce, Britney Spears and Adele, her vocals have an early 2000s sound, but with a unique vintage twist. Heavily influenced by her background in Jazz, she draws influence from great Jazz singers such as Billie Holiday and Ella Fiztsgerald.
