About the show

A Heavy Night At The Tap

February gets turned up a few notches as Strummer Room Records brings another huge night of live music to The Apothecary Tap, Banbury.

Three bands. Three different shades of heavy. One intimate room.

Expect it loud, raw, intense and up close — the kind of night where standing at the back still puts you right in the thick of it.

Featuring - The Battery Farm

The Battery Farm appearing at this event

The Battery Farm is a gutter punk four-piece from Manchester playing punishing, pulverising rock music brimming with pain and passion. The Battery Farm was formed in March 2019 by brothers Ben and Dominic Corry. It was formed as a cry of despair; a terrified and furious response to a world that rapidly seems to be going wrong. This is reflected in the sound of the band which is frantic, visceral and violent but also laced with beauty and melody.

Lake Acacia

Lake Acacia appearing at this event

Alt? Prog? Rock? Metal? It’s hard to categorize Banbury 2 Piece Lake Acacia. They smash together driving, bass-laden, super heavy riffs, layers of synths strings, relentless, unrestrained drumming, electronic and percussive breakdowns, and melodic songs that are topped off with immense vocals with a myriad of harmonies! Bass, drums, and electronics... not a guitar in sight!
