About the show
Join us for the very first Laughs in the Lounge, bringing top-class live comedy right to your doorstep.
We’re kicking things off in style with a superb line-up, headlined by circuit legend Paul James.
Once described as “what would happen if Tim Vine hadn’t found God,” Paul delivers a relentless barrage of razor-sharp one-liners that hit from the first joke to the last. A go-to headliner across the UK, his unmatched gag rate has lit up pubs, clubs, arts centres and theatres nationwide.
“Slick, side-splittingly funny one-liners any comic would give their right arm for.” – South Wales Evening Post
“Revered as a comedic demi-god.” – Western Mail
“A barrage of quality lines with a stage presence that takes the audience wherever he wants.” – Cardiff Comedy Festival
In support, Paul Hilleard – winner of the BBC New Comedy Award and finalist for the Channel 4 Sean Lock Award 2025 – brings a brilliantly skewed take on everyday life, delivered with a sharp Valleys perspective.
Also on the bill, Pratik Barman – a unique Welsh-Indian comedian and presenter, known for blending stand-up with tap dancing flair.
Hosting the night is Phil Cooper, bringing Rhondda charm, sharp observational humour and an easy, engaging style that keeps the night flowing.
Why not treat yourself to a burger or Pizza and drink as part of our fab package to enjoy with the comedy?
