About the show

Ever wondered how illustrators bring characters to life on the page – and how a few bold lines can tell a whole story?

Flossy Waters is an award-winning illustrator and animator whose work spans children's books, editorial illustration and 2D animation. A First-Class graduate of Southampton University and MA graduate of the Royal College of Art, she has exhibited at the Bologna Children's Book Festival and won two Webby Awards. In this hands-on workshop, she'll be sharing the techniques behind her craft with the next generation of visual storytellers.

Designed for young people aged 12–16, the session will guide participants through character drawing, scene-building and core illustration techniques – the building blocks of visual narrative that professional illustrators use every day.

No experience necessary. Just bring your imagination and a willingness to put pen to paper.
