A Big Bang: The Origins Of The Pop Art Collection

The Pop Art collection at Wolverhampton Art Gallery began in the mid-sixties with the purchase of a print portfolio, which included work by Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton, Joe Tilson, Patrick Caulfield and many more. In the last 50 years, this collection has become one of the strongest in the UK, with the addition of other stars of the Pop era including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney and Pauline Boty.
