Toy Hearts, Julian Dawson

This Birmingham based sister fronted outfit have been successfully carving out their own niche in the Americana and Roots music scene for over 10 years now, so if you haven't been to one of their shows before you are in for a real treat. Hannah (vocals and mandolin) and Sophia (guitar and vocals), along with their father Stewart (Banjo, Dobro, Steel) previously appeared in Whimple in March 2013, prior to spending the summer of 2013 touring around Texas and working with some of the biggest names in Texan bluegrass. If you missed them last year, make sure you catch them this time around.

Julian Dawson originally studied at Exeter Art College, but decided that he preferred to sing and left for Frankfurt to follow his dream. He toured around Europe with various band line-ups, after which he released two highly acclaimed albums with guests including Richard Thompson, PP Arnold and Toots Thielemans, receiving an 'Album of the Month' in Germany.
