Love Left Hanging: The Stuff of Dreams Theatre Company
Set in 1827, this adaptation of the famous Red Barn Murder focuses on a woman scorned, exploring the different versions of the account of what happened to Maria Marten.
Maria Marten was killed by her lover, William Corder in the Red Barn at her father's farm in Polstead, Suffolk.
In popular melodramas Maria is portrayed as the helpless victim of William Corder, a cold-blooded villain.
Written by Emma MacLuskey, an MA postgraduate in scriptwriting at the UEA and Cordelia Spence, the artistic director of Stuff of Dreams, this production promises to be both innovative and irreverent.
