Argent Theatre

Placing the action in the 19th century, this production sees Argent Theatre return to Chapel Farm Barn. This production exploits the natural features and atmosphere of The Barn, creating the perfect haunt for this gothic thriller.

Promised a golden future by three sinister witches, Macbeth commits murder to ensure his ambitions come true and enters a murky, terrifying world of treason and treachery where fear is a powerful and irrational master.
Driven on by the manipulation and ambition of his wife, atrocities mount and with the growing awareness of the horror she has orchestrated Lady Macbeth is driven to insanity and, trapped in a spiral of violence, Macbeth cannot escape his fate.

Argent Theatre is an accomplished company, well established in the Newark & Southwell area. Oscar Conlon-Morrey makes his Argent Theatre debut playing Macbeth.

Chapel Farm is a working farm and whilst it is undercover, warm clothing and stout footwear are essential. Seating is provided.
