A band who've truly lived up to their name with their constant esotericism, existing just outside the mainstream since the '80s, when the band was conceived as Death Cult by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy. Their loyal following has largely been to do with the marriage of goth-rock and heavy metal, combining emotion and spirituality with complex, unpredictable and driving guitar lines.

Leeds Warehouse Southern Death Cult gig back in early 80's......I missed a decade and then saw them at NEC in 92/3...Would LOVE to see them live in October............Solid band. Robert from Tehran
