The Bridgend Male Choir, Côr Meibion Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, was established in August 1960 originally as the Bridgend & District Police Choir. The name was changed in 1987 to the Bridgend & District Male Choir and in 2006 to its present title. Numbers have risen steadily and the choir is now well over 90 strong. They have a wide and diverse repertoire that includes opera, folk music, songs from modern day musicals, Welsh compositions, classical music and traditional male voice songs.
