Phillippa Hodge Exhibition

Born in 1962 and spending her first 48 years in the South East of England, Phillippa Hodge has had no formal training, but paints intuitively, inspired by the scenes around her.

Graduating from Richmond, Surrey, with a DIPSW and BED, she has spent her working career in social care, but a move to Cornwall in 2010 allowed her to indulge in her love of painting and to experiment in different colours, media and styles. She is currently working in acrylic and soft pastel.

Whilst her first love is dogs, owning a Scottie and Westie which she adores and often painting their canine friends, the natural beauties of the Cornish landscape, seascapes and her love of wildlife has become fundamental in her paintings and philosophy on life.

She has shown her paintings in Bideford, Tavistock  and Truro, receiving  regular commissions and is a regular member of Grattons Art  Workshops and the  Tavistock Group of Artists. However, she greatly admires a local artist, Jaquie Perkin who has given her the confidence to exhibit her art today.
