Simon Allen (2), Dave Cottle Trio

Simon began his career with the NYJ and the Pendulum Orchestra,performing alongside the likes of Art Themen,Gerard Presencer and Peter King. After winning the Daily Telegrah 'Young Jazz' competition and a finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of The Year' Simon gained a place at the Royal Academy of Music and was selected to join Clark Tracey's acclaimed Quintet, winning further awards and touring over 7 years. Simon is also a member of the Laurence Cottle Big Band and works with Colin Towns Mask Orchestra, the Matthew Herbert Big Band and worked with an astonishing array of musicians from the jazz and pop world.

Simon has been featured in the late Stan Tracey CBE various groups and on Jools Hollands "Later" TV show, Simon lead's a horn section which among others has backed Pill Collins, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney. Simon has also released an album under his own name "Any Minute Now".
