From Here & There is the final part of an exchange between Colorado & Swansea which has involved Welsh and UK artists’ exhibiting in the U.S and American artists’ exhibiting at elysiumgallery, Swansea earlier this year.
This exhibition curated by Swansea artist and elysiumgallery director Jonathan Powell offers different perspectives of the drawing process and vindicates the vitality and contemporary relevance that drawing has in art today.
From Here and There forms part of Wales’s Dylan Thomas 100th birthday celebrations and the exhibition will take place in the sprawling former Iceland Supermarket on Swansea High Street. The building was recently purchased and renovated by Coastal Housing Group as part of its strategy for the regeneration of High Street and is set to become a new artistic hub for the community.
