Dylan Thomas's childhood memory of Christmas has become a firm favourite for generations of children in and beyond Wales. This adaptation is a new and evocative picture of Dylan's early years, drawing on many of his short stories and broadcasts to create a childhood wonderland of snowbound memory.

Conceived for a cast of 10 actor/musicians the production captures the wonder of a Christmas time of almost a century ago as seen through a child's eyes, as the older Dylan looks back in at his six-year old self and asks 'did it really snow for twelve days and twelve nights?'

A Child's Christmas in Wales is a celebration of Dylan Thomas's astonishing imagery, his humour, his humanity and his acute observation of human behaviour. The music and lyrics have been specially commissioned from one of Americas leading folk song writers.
