Arturo Serra (vibes) from Valencia is a Getxo jazz festival prize winner, widely known across Spain and Europe as a top jazz performer and teacher of improvisation. He is a professor at the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra who studied at the Conservatorie of Valencia.
He has played with Pat Metheny, Kenny Barron, Mulgrew Miller among many others and his quartet is much in demand at concerts and festivals on the continent. He recently released a tribute CD to Bobby Hutcherson, a key influence.
Pianist Juan Galiardo is originally from Seville, he has worked with Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Magnarelli, Dave Santoro, Dick Oatts, Gregory Hutchinson, Ruben Rogers and more. He is a graduate of Cadiz University and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has performed in the USA, Japan, Philippines, UK, Portugal and Spain. He organized the 'Cadiz International Jazz Workshop' for four years.
