Star Party at the Castle with Swansea Astronomical Society

Join Swansea Astronomical Society for a lively star gazing session.

Although at first glance, the night sky can seem a jamble of stars, with a little bit of know-how and practice you will soon be able to pick out the wonders of the night sky.

If skies are clear, then attention will be focused on the phenomena in the sky, and people will have the opportunity to view through a number of telescopes. There will also be a presentation on “Wonders of the World and Universe” sprinkled with interesting questions.

Should it be a cloudy night, the event will still go ahead with some lively indoor lectures. Whatever the weather, you’ll get the opportunity to ask questions you always wanted to ask, and learn some fascinating things about our night sky.

The grounds within the castle are steep and uneven, so please wear appropriate footwear as well as warm / waterproof clothing.

Free hot and cold drinks will be provided on the night.
