Acorn Antiques
Victoria Wood's hilarious musical, based on her 80s spoof sketch, comes to the Playhouse.
The town of Manchestorford is alarmed when the Countess sells the high street to property developers. Soon coffee shops, credit stores and even the Honk Kong Thong and Panty Hut want to move in and evict the locals. The only chance Acorn Antiques has of survival is to find the will of Miss Babs and Miss Berta's dead father.
Originally staged in 2005 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket starring Julie Walters, Celia Imrie and Sally Ann Triplett, this fantastic musical comedy will have everyone on the their feet!
So join Miss Babs, Miss Berta and the one and only Mrs Overall for an evening of Macaroons, the Tip Top Tap and the Manchestorford Amateur Operatic Society's tribute to 'A Chorus Line'.
