The story of Peter Williamson, known as Indian Peter from his childhood in Aberdeenshire to his kidnap, indentured labour in the American colonies, his capture by the Indians, his escape, his enlistment in the British army, his capture by the French, his return to Aberdeen and his subsequent imprisonment by the Aberdeen authorities and his successful litigation against these authorities and his opening Indian Peters Coffee House in Edinburgh.
