Appetisers

A group of over 50s are hosting a free celebratory event where they will offer advice and tips on how to use an iPad, after attending classes to learn more about digital technology.

Members of the Silver iPad Creativity classes, which have been taking place at ARC on Thursdays, are coming together for the Appetisers event on Thursday 4 December, to celebrate what they have learnt about using tablets and apps.

The group will also be on hand to offer free advice to anyone of any age who wants to develop their own knowledge and learn the basics about new technology.

All are welcome to the event to have a go on an iPad and try out some apps to create photo collages, add effects to images and even bring them to life using use stop-frame animation.

One of the members of the Silver group who is taking part in the Appetisers event commented: “You can find things you’re really interested in by browsing these devices; it’s not all technical and or scientific in that sense. It’s therapeutic!

“I didn’t know anything about apps until I started coming to these events, I didn’t even have an iPad and now I can use one.”
