Super Furry Animals
As Wales' favourite psychedelic popsters, the Super Furry Animals have inspired a whole generation of artists since their emergence in the mid-nineties. Recording in both English and Welsh, they changed the way that many thought about the language, whilst producing some of the finest summery Beach Boys-inspired indie to have surfaced in the last two decades.

The Maccabees
Brighton's Maccabees have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut top 30 album 'Colour It In' in 2007. Their brand of slightly off-kilter British art-rock has seen them compered to the likes of Wire, Blur, Magazine, Futureheads and XTC. The frenzied live shows have generated stage invasions and riotous crowds buzzing to the sounds of already classic anthems like 'About Your Dress' and 'Toothpaste Kisses'. 2012 sees the release of 3rd album 'Given To The Wild', with more wild live shows sure to ensue.

Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires lie somewhere between the poppiness of Snap!, the funkiness of Prince, and the electronic dance-iness of Daft Punk. Friendly Fires were the first unsigned band ever to play Transmission on Channel 4, shown on 9th November 2007. Their self-titled debut album was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Awards and the band have since gone from strength to strength, nominated for two Brit Awards in 2010, and releasing their Top 10 album, 'Pala', in 2011.

Los Campesinos!
Los Campesinos are a seven piece indie pop band from Cardiff with a punk spirit, biting lyrics and shouty vocals. They list some of their influences as Pavement, Deerhoof and Pulp amongst others. Their recent line-up change has seen them adopt a new, darker guise (their recent album 'Hello Sadness' was all about romantic failure). You may have heard their 2008 hit ' You, Me, Dancing!' on the recent Budweiser advert.
