Young Opera Venture

The colourful and exciting new production will be performed by a cast of seventeen prize-winning young singers chosen from the best of the latest generation of professional singers from all over the UK and Eire. It will be presented in an English translation by Jeremy Sams with an orchestra of fifteen young professional musicians.

The Magic Flute has become one of the best-loved operas in history combining comedy, pantomime, love story, fantasy and philosophy in marvellous music which includes many famous and hummable tunes, deeply expressive arias, wonderful ensembles and, for the Queen of the Night, the highest notes in all opera!
