Halloweden Half Term
This half term the Eden Project will be transformed into a wand-erful world of magic and mystery as Witch from Room on the Broom takes up residence from October 25 until November 2.
Visitors will be welcomed into the world of Room on the Broom, created by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. They can not only meet the star of the well-loved story, but also conjure up their own magical witch’s hat, make headdresses inspired by their favourite characters and design their own ‘room on a broom’.
Elsewhere on site in the Wishcraft Tent, there are treats in store for all the family, with positive potion workshops, pumpkin carving demonstrations and spellbinding stories. Fearless folks can explore the Haunted Hollow and may even encounter creatures of the night.
A spine-tingling experience is in store for visitors to Eden’s ice rink, which is set against the backdrop of a twinkling winter woodland. General skate sessions which start on the hour, last 40-minutes and costs £6. Penguin skate aids are available for young beginners for an additional £4.
The Little Monsters’ Ball returns for fancy-dress fun on Halloween night, Friday October 31. The site will be open until 9pm, during which time witches, wizards and mini-monsters will be able to explore the haunted Biomes, sample some creepy cuisine and dance the evening away in the Mediterranean Biome’s Olive Grooveyard.
Revellers will also have the opportunity to have their faces painted, glide around the ice rink and meet some of the amazing animals that dwell in the dark.
