The Engaging Minds lecture series commenced today with a lecture from Chief Superintendent Alison Roome-Gifford, who talked to students about the challenges of leading policing in the 21st century. The Engaging Minds lectures, sponsored by AECOM, are given by renowned experts in their fields to assist students to look further and to journey outside the curriculum. We are privileged this year to welcome a wide range of speakers from politics, industry, and the law as well as speakers from the worlds of sport, film and campaigning organisations such as Oxfam."
Precious Williams
An author and journalist, whose memoir "Precious, A True Story" was featured on Sky News and BBC Radio 4 Women's Hour. Her first book tells the story of growing up in trans-racial 'private foster care' after being abandoned at birth.
