'One of Britain's most inventive jazz vocalists, Ian Shaw's remarkable vocal range and mesmerising style has seen him breathe life into pop tunes and standards, reinventing even the most maudlin show tunes with sparkling wit.' Time Out. This evening Ian joins Southampton Youth Jazz Orchestra for a specially created concert, performing big band arrangements of his own music and paying homage to composer Burt Bacharach and lyricist Hal David. The concert opens with a SYJO set featuring new material and some big band classics.
