Busina Brass Quintet

One of Europe's finest brass ensembles, its members - from Croatia and Slovenia - hold principal positions in leading orchestras. The concert they will perform at Shrewsbury School will be diverse and entertaining including original works, popular renaissance and baroque pieces, dixie, blues and jazz music.

The group has performed throughout Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Slovenia, Israel, Georgia and Japan and has premiered three works written for brass quintet and wind orchestra with the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of the Croatian Armed Forces. Busina Brass Quintet is ensemble-in-residence at the Zagreb Brass Festival and this concert will be the first performance given by the quintet in the UK.
