The warm, burnished tone of the horn offset with the plangent oboe sound combine in these rare trios for oboe, horn and piano. Add to this the offhand but deliciously evocative Mouvements perpétuels for piano, the virtuoso dash of ‘Villanelle’ and the tristesse of Poulenc’s oboe sonata, and you have a heady mix of unusual gems of the chamber music repertoire.
Fibonacci Sequence
