African Night Fever returns with the tropical rhythms and dance of tropical Kinshasa with the formidable mighty Zong Zing All Stars.
Hailing from the Democratic Republic Of Congo, the Zong Zing All Stars describe their music as 'perfect' for a sunny day at a festival. Infectious and energetic, their soukous music is a blend of vocal harmonies, guitar picking, and dynamic rhythms.
This nine-piece are as much about the dancing as the music and between them have a wealth of stage experience, having played with the likes of the Orchestra Virunga of Samba Mapangala and OK Jazz of Franco Makiadi.
In recent years the Zong Zing All Stars have modernised their take on soukous music, blending it with the rhythms and innovation of 'New Africa' and making their style unique and easy to dance to.
This evening promises to take you on a wonderful musical journey across Africa, and remember to bring your best dancing shoes.
