Väsen

Väsen are Sweden's outstanding roots music ambassadors. Audiences are knocked out by the awe-inspiring playing that makes them 'must-haves' at international festivals. The trio is Olov Johansson (nyckelharpa), Roger Tallroth (guitar), and Mikael Marin (viola). For over twenty years they have put Swedish music on the map with their exceptional musicianship and their musical empathy.

They are in constant demand around the world (a huge attraction in America, they've even had a street named after them in Bloomington, Indiana!) - but we don't see them often enough in the UK.

Olov and Roger played as the Väsen Duo to a full house at Ropetackle in May 2013 when those lucky enough to be there were astounded. This time we have the complete trio.
