Shoreham Wordfest 2014: Poetry Of WW1

A workshop led by Janet Pressley. The workshop will begin with an overview of the history of war poetry, leading to a focus on the poetry of the First World War. It includes women's poetry and working-class poetry, as well as the most well-known and celebrated poets of the time such as Thomas, Gurney, Rosenberg, Siegfried Sassoon, and Wilfred Owen.
