Paraguay Special: Richard Durrant
A special concert on the eve of Richard's third visit to Paraguay.
This performance marks the launch of the third and final album in Richard's Paraguayan trilogy following the international success of "The Number 26 Bus To Paraguay" (2011) and "Hijo de Hombre" (2012).
After last year's sell out success, Thunkshop Cafe will be serving another authentic Paraguayan supper before the concert at just £12.50 per person.
Richard Durrant
A concert by Richard Durrant is so much more than a classical guitar recital. It's hard to pin down whether he takes his cue from Bream, Renbourn or Jansch - but take all three as a starting point. Durrant's solo repertoire is made up of his own beautifully crafted solo pieces and a range of carefully chosen ancient and modern guitar music from around the world. His performance style is relaxed, friendly and often hilariously funny - his playing is intense, sensitive and shockingly virtuosic.
