Ensemble 360, Polly Ives

This is a truly uplifting concert for families with children age 3+ combining music and storytelling, and based on the book by award-winning author Giles Andreae, illustrated by David Wojtowycz. Composed by Music in the Round’s Children’s Composer in Residence Paul Rissmann, this musical performance of the story The Lion Who Wanted to Love, is performed by all eleven of Ensemble 360’s musicians with narrator Polly Ives. It includes lots of audience participation and projected images from the book. There will also be companion pieces including music by Saint-Säens, Beethoven and Gilkyson. Part of Love and War Music in the Round’s Festival of World Class Chamber Music.
