Parka is a four piece alternative band from Chesterfield that was originally described as indie-pop following their debut single 'Big Ego'. However the band recently changed their sound to a more atmospheric, fresh genre with influences deriving from death metal, acoustic singer/songwriter and funk.
New E.P 'Ego Trip' gave slight way to the new genre the boys follow. One reviewer said, 'It's like Bastille had a baby with the Arctic Monkeys, then spat out Enter Shikari'. I don't know what that means either but if you want to find out I suggest you get down to Plug.
