Never miss another 'Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark' show
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Following their triumphant return with the album 'History of Modern' in 2010 and a massively successful world tour, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark are back on the road in April 2013 in support of their much-anticipated new album 'English Electric'.
The sound of 'English Electric' is more electro than ever, yet still unmistakably OMD with the huge soaring melodies and irresistible lyrical hooks that fans have come to expect over the years.
Like the material from 'History of Modern' before it, the new songs from 'English Electric' will undoubtedly blend seamlessly with the classics such as 'Enola Gay', 'Souvenir', 'Joan of Arc' and 'Sailing On The Seven Seas', which remain the mainstay of the band's exciting and vibrant live show.
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (often abbreviated to OMD) are a synth pop group whose founder members, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, are originally from the Wirral. The band rose to fame with their fourth single 'Enola Gay', which became a major hit throughout Europe in 1980, and achieved worldwide popularity the following year with their third album 'Architecture & Morality'. Regarded as the band's seminal work, it spawned three international hit singles and propelled them to superstar status
