Having released his debut album ‘Performance’, Bob Blakeley has announced a headline concert at The Lowry. For the Stockport based singer this is yet another first in what has been a “crazy couple of months”.
“Performing on The Voice, being offered a deal live on BBC Breakfast, recording my album with Mike Batt and an orchestra, hearing it on the radio, being invited to perform and sign copies of the CD in HMV, and now my own headline concert - it really has been a crazy couple of months” said Bob today. “It shows that you should never give up on your dreams – they can come true.”
Bob will be performing songs from his album ‘Performance’ including what has become his signature song ‘Cry Me A River’, the Sinatra classic ‘It Was A Very Good Year’ and ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) as featured on Radio 2. Bob will be joined on stage by his mentor and musical director Mike Batt and band.
