Only Yazoo

An evening celebrating the the music of Yazoo and Alison Moyet.

Yazoo were a British synthpop duo from Basildon, Essex, England, consisting of former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke (keyboards) and Alison Moyet (vocals).

Formed in late 1981, over the next 18 months the duo made two critically acclaimed albums, Upstairs at Eric's and You and Me Both, blending Clarke's synthesizer melodies with Moyet's blues-and-soul-influenced vocals.

Yazoo enjoyed worldwide success, particularly in the UK where three of their four singles reached the top three of the Singles Chart and both their albums made the top two of the albums chart.

We start at 8:30 with a musical build-up featuring the greatest work of the genius of Vince Clarke; from Depeche Mode, Erasure etc.

At 9:30 Only Yazoo go live, (partly backed by a digital band), playing the classic music of Yazoo and Alison Moyet in a full ninety minute show. Then, at around 11:00, it's back to the Vince Clarke playlist to round off the evening.
