Jazz at Progress

This Anglo-American jazz "supergroup" features internationally acclaimed British piano sensation Gwilym Simcock, Salford guitarist and UK treasure Mike Walker, and American bass and drums superstars Steve Rodby and Adam Nussbaum. The result is nothing less than remarkable with four unique talents, all superb players in their own right, coming together to create something new and powerful. Winners of "Best Ensemble" in the 2013 Parliamentary Jazz Awards and recipients of rave reviews in the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA, their acclaimed second album Internationally Recognised Aliens has been described as "a triumph", "sophisticated", "awesome", "quite brilliant" and "destined for year-end 'best of' lists". This is a rare opportunity to see a world-class band at the top of its game, which normally packs out much bigger venues, in the intimate setting of Progress Theatre. A must for all jazz aficionados.
